Kloss Investigates Bad Judgment
Carol Kloss' "investigation" on KETV's 10 p.m. Thursday newscast ended up being less about past due child support than it was an eye-opening look at women with extraordinarily bad taste in men. This first night of July sweeps piece featured a 29-year-old dandy named Nathan Leet, who has fathered five children by five different women and has an 18-year-old girlfriend, who is also pregnant. Oscar
On Sunday evening, when an Oscar winner thanked some Omahans in his acceptance speech, were we the only ones who thought we heard local newspaper columnist Mike Kelley crap himself?

Making a Bad Thing Worse
Building on the phenomenal success they've had with calling Jim Flowers' weather report "the forcast for where you live," the Mensa Society members who run Channel 6 have decided to beat yet another phrase to death. Now, every night during the 10 p.m. newscast, one of the station's anchor/reporters is saddled with giving us "news for where you live," a 60 or 90 second content-free blurb about

The transformation of SuxNews morning girl Malorie Maddox into a complete moron is now complete.Coming out of a break, Malaprop had this to say about the live shot of I-480 and the North Freeway:We are taking a live look off onto the highway system this morning, we've got a lot of highways in this shot for you to take an overview at.Not more than 30 seconds later, she pronounced the word,
Channel 6 Useless Feature of the Week
Almost as revolting as its "Live at 4" rundown of grocery specials is WOWT's "Burglaries and Break-ins" segment on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. Reported by bulbous Brian Mastre, this little gem is no more than a sampling of places that have been hit by crime in the past week or so. Compounding the inanity this week was a tag by anchor Tracy Madden informing us that we can find a list of all the week's

We asked for your opinions and got a surprisingly consistent list of folks whose faces you think will be rendered either more attractive or more hideous by HDTV technology. Longtime KM3 reporter Kathy "I Sound Like I Have a Secret" Sarantos-Niver garnered the most concern, while WOWT Rookie of the Year Malorie Maddox's mug is the most eagerly anticipated. Below, with occasional reader comments,

To wit,"She graduated from North High School and played volleyball, basketball
